Partnering for Positive Change: Shaping Services for Children and Young People.
Tender Documents – No Wrong Door
Introduction Pobl and its partners have been funded by Welsh Government’s Child Poverty – Innovations and Supporting Communities grant, to undertake research into children and young peoples’ services. The research will cover two strategic regeneration areas in Wales: Pillgwenlly, Newport and Penderi, Swansea. The project will engage children and young people to give their feedback on existing provision, from statutory services to community-led activities. Developing a robust understanding of what is valued by young people, where opportunities are lacking and what could improve or be better supported to grow. Alongside this consultation, the project will create two place-based catalogues of current providers and services they deliver in the two communities. The project will work with providers to build two place-based relationship maps. Highlighting where collaboration is strong and where new levels of communication could strengthen positive experiences and outcomes for children and young people’s health and development. The aim of the funding is to reduce poverty and the impact of poverty and support communities through innovation. Therefore, feedback from the consultation and mapping will enable deeper conversations in both localities to consider current systems, processes and culture, through the lens of children and young people’s feedback. Looking to change current thinking to better serve the children and young people of these communities. This project will be completed by March 2025. Submissions must be sent to [email protected] by midnight 13/10/2024 Decisions will be made by 21/10//2024 |
