Children’s football teams – Blaenymaes AFC

Blaenymaes AFC continues to grow from strength to strength and are now recruiting for  U7, U8 and U10 teams. The Club is run by passionate local people on a voluntary basis and their commitment will ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and enjoy football as part of a thriving community.

Thursday night KICKS sessions from the Swans Foundation have really shown local kids enthusiasm for the game, playing out in all weathers. The children’s section of BYM AFC is coming to life because local kids want to wear the badge, and local parents are committed to creating opportunities for the kids to shine, make friends and show their pride for the area.

Watch this space 2026 – there are big plans ahead!

Looking to expand Junior club, both boys and girls and improve the community because it’s all about the community and getting kids of the street and giving them something to do, and so they always have something to look forward to’ – Aaron Sampson ( Blaenymaes AFC – Chairman).

‘Seeing so many children turn up week after week to our PL Kicks sessions has shown how strong the appetite for football is in the Blaenymaes area. It feels like the perfect time for Blaenymaes AFC to build a pathway for local young people to play, develop and enjoy the game together. The creation of these new youth teams will be hugely important for the community moving forward’ – Bethan Robins (Swans Foundation).
