Congratulations to PCSO Steve

In Penderi, it’s hard to find someone who doesn’t know PCSO Steve Evans. Whether he’s chatting with young people, dropping into a community space, or checking in with local residents, Steve has become a familiar and trusted face in the area. From simply being there when someone needs advice or a friendly word, supporting youth football through the Swansea Foundation Kicks programme, or working closely with other service providers in the area, Steve’s approach is all about building connections, trust, and being consistent.

His commitment to the community was recently recognised when he received the Community Award at the South Wales Police Annual Awards, a well-deserved celebration of his years of dedication. His story is a reminder that real community change often starts with relationships and with people like Steve, who show up, listen, and care.
