Power Up Penderi: Helping Customers Save with Solar

The Penderi Energy Project team hosted an evening drop-in event on the 23rd of October at the 104 for Penderi Pobl customers.

The aim of the event was to raise more awareness about the Solar Energy Project, to provide clear, factual information about how solar panels and home battery systems work, and to encourage customers to opt in to save money and lower carbon footprint.

Kasia, our Polish translator, joined Donna from Pobl and Hannah from Sero to support the session, ensuring that everyone including members of the Polish-speaking community to take part and fully understand the information provided.

Throughout the evening, the team:

• Gave open and honest advice about previous communications,
• Explained how solar energy and battery storage can reduce bills,
• Shared a breakdown of potential monthly and yearly savings, and
• Listened carefully to residents’ questions and concerns.

There was a great turnout with plenty of friendly conversation and a lot of tea, coffee, and cake to enjoy.

By the end of the night, five happy customers had opted in to the project, each set to save between £95 and £250 a year on their energy bills, a great outcome for both people and the planet.
